# Sending documents and signing, *without a login*

There is no client portal to log in to, and nothing important is ever behind a password you cannot reach. This page says how documents and signatures actually move.

**Quick answer:** EverStone does not run a client portal. Documents travel by secure link or email as arranged with your accountant, signatures are collected electronically, and filings go to the CRA directly. ## How documents reach us


Records come in however they already exist: a bank feed connected once, photographed receipts, a folder of PDFs, or a shoebox scanned in one sitting. When a file is sensitive, you will be sent a secure upload link rather than asked to attach it to an email. Nothing has to be re-entered into a system you do not use.



## How signatures work


Returns, engagement letters and CRA authorizations are signed electronically from a link sent to you. You see the document, sign it, and keep a copy. No printing, no courier, no waiting on a signature page.



## Where your records live


Your documents are kept for the [six years CRA expects](https://www.everstonecpa.com/blog/cra-record-retention-how-long-to-keep-records) and are yours to ask for at any time. If you ever leave, you take the file with you.

## Questions about documents and signatures




**Is there a client login?**

No. There is no portal and no password to keep track of. Links for uploads and signatures are sent to you when they are needed.



**Is email safe enough for tax documents?**

For most correspondence, yes. For documents that carry identification numbers or banking details, you will be sent a secure upload link instead of being asked to attach them.



**What if I cannot find the link I was sent?**

Ask or call, and a new one is issued the same working day. Nothing is locked behind a link you cannot reach.
