**Start with the pay planner.** Enter your company’s profit in [our 2026 pay planner](https://www.everstonecpa.com/salary-vs-dividends-calculator): it works out corporate tax, CPP and personal tax at every salary level for 2026 and shows the split that leaves you the most.

No sign-up, no catch. Quick calculators and honest, plain-English answers to the questions Canadian business owners ask us most. All free, all from EverStone CPA.

## Which tool should I start with?

**Unincorporated and wondering whether to incorporate?** Start with the [incorporation savings estimator](https://www.everstonecpa.com/incorporation-calculator) — it shows the tax you could defer by leaving profit inside a corporation at the small-business rate instead of taking it all personally — then read the [sole proprietor vs corporation guide](https://www.everstonecpa.com/incorporation-advice) for the liability and paperwork side, which the numbers alone don’t capture.

**Already incorporated?** The biggest recurring decision is how to pay yourself. Our [salary vs dividends guide](https://www.everstonecpa.com/blog/salary-vs-dividends-2026) walks through the trade-offs — CPP, RRSP room, payroll obligations and integration, and where a calculator stops being enough and a conversation starts.

**Charging or paying GST/HST?** The [GST/HST calculator](https://www.everstonecpa.com/gst-hst-calculator) adds or strips sales tax for any province — useful for quoting jobs tax-inclusive and reconciling invoices, and the [CRA deadlines page](https://www.everstonecpa.com/cra-tax-deadlines) keeps the filing dates straight.

A calculator is a starting point, not an answer: every figure depends on your province, your other income and your corporation’s situation. When a number surprises you, that’s usually the moment to [talk it through with a CPA](https://www.everstonecpa.com/book-online) — the consult is free and the quote is fixed. For the year-end close specifically, a free [email course](https://www.everstonecpa.com/year-end-playbook) walks the work through in five short lessons.

To hear when any of these figures change, [the monthly Tax Memo](https://www.everstonecpa.com/tax-memo) covers what moved and what to do about it.

Filed late, or about to? The [penalty calculator for late T1 and T2 returns](https://www.everstonecpa.com/late-filing-penalty-calculator) shows what the CRA charge actually is, with the formula visible.

## Free Canadian tax calculators — common questions

**Are these calculators really free?**

Yes. Every calculator and guide on this site is free to use, with no sign-up, no email gate and no trial. They are published by EverStone CPA, a CPA firm in Abbotsford, BC, and they exist so an owner can get a straight answer without booking anything. [Ask about your case →](https://www.everstonecpa.com/quick-question)

**Do I have to give my email to use them?**

No. The calculators run entirely in your browser and nothing you enter is transmitted. You can use every one of them without giving an email address or creating an account.

**Are the rates in these calculators current?**

Each calculator states the tax year and the figures it uses, and each page carries a reviewed date. Where a rate changes, the page is updated and the reviewed date moves with it — so check the date shown on the calculator you are using.

**Can I rely on a calculator instead of speaking to an accountant?**

A calculator gives you the shape of an answer, not a filing position. It cannot see the rest of your situation — associated companies, prior-year balances, how you have paid yourself already. Use it to understand the trade-off, then confirm the number before you act on it.
