Email us — and what to send so the answer comes back fast

Reviewed by EverStone CPA · August 2026

Quick answer: Send your situation to info@everstonecpa.com — what the business is, what happened, and any date attached. You’ll get a substantive reply within one business day: an answer where one is possible, or the exact questions we need answered first. No documents needed until we ask.

The three sentences that matter

  1. What the business is. “Incorporated electrician, one employee, BC” beats three paragraphs of history.
  2. What happened or what you’re deciding. A CRA letter (say which one — or check the letter decoders first), a deadline you’re unsure about, a purchase, a hire, an unfiled year.
  3. The date, if there is one. Deadlines change what we do first.

What happens after you hit send

A person reads it — the same day in practice, within one business day as a promise. You get either a real answer or two or three precise questions, and if it warrants a conversation we include a booking link so you pick the time. Attachments: hold them until asked; we’ll request exactly what’s needed through a secure portal rather than have statements sitting in an inbox.

Prefer a form? The contact page has one, and it lands in the same inbox with the same one-business-day promise. Prefer the phone? The number is at the top of every page — though for anything with details worth getting right, starting in writing means nothing gets lost.

Common questions

How fast is the reply, really?+
Within one business day, and usually the same day for anything sent before mid-afternoon Pacific. The promise is a substantive reply — an answer or the exact next questions — not an autoresponder.
Is the email answer free? Where’s the line?+
The first exchange is free, like the consultation: it exists to establish what you are facing and whether we fit. Anything that becomes actual engagement work gets scoped and quoted in writing before it starts — you will never discover a fee after the fact.
Should I attach my statements or the CRA letter?+
Not in the first email. Describe it — or name the letter — and we will ask for exactly what is needed through a secure portal. Financial documents deserve better than sitting unencrypted in two inboxes.
Is email secure enough for tax questions?+
For describing a situation, yes. For documents and anything with SINs or account numbers, we move to a secure portal — which is precisely why the first email should be description, not attachments.

One business day. Every message.

The templates above are the fastest start. Or just write it your way — the promise is the same.
