Accessibility Statement

Standard we aim for

We target the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. In practice that means readable colour contrast, keyboard-navigable menus and forms, descriptive link text and form labels, visible focus states, text that resizes cleanly, and a “skip to content” link on every page.

What we have done

• Every page has a skip-to-content link, a declared language, and a single clear heading structure.
• Links inside body text are underlined, not signalled by colour alone.
• Interactive controls meet minimum contrast against their background, including hover and focus states.
• Images carry descriptive alternative text, and decorative graphics are hidden from screen readers.
• Forms use real labels tied to their inputs rather than placeholder text alone.
• Tables that are wider than a phone screen scroll horizontally instead of breaking the page.
• Animation respects the operating system’s “reduce motion” setting.

Known limitations

We are being straightforward about this rather than claiming full conformance:

• Our online booking is provided by a third-party scheduling tool. We do not control its markup, and its accessibility may differ from the rest of the site. If it gives you trouble, email or call us and we will book you in directly — you will never be disadvantaged for not using it.
• The embedded map on our contact page is a third-party component with limited keyboard support. Our full address is always written out in text next to it.
• Some longer guides use detailed tables that are easier to read on a larger screen.

Ongoing work

Accessibility is never “done.” We review the site regularly and fix issues as we find them, and we treat reported problems as bugs rather than suggestions.
