A tax talk your members will actually stay awake for

Reviewed by EverStone CPA · August 2026

Quick answer: EverStone’s founder speaks to chambers, industry associations and business groups on the money mechanics owner-managers actually face — CRA letters, paying yourself, year-end without drama. Plain English, real questions answered live, and no product pitch from the stage: the talk is the value. Remote anywhere in Canada; in person across the Fraser Valley. Booking is one email: info@everstonecpa.com.

Current talks

  • The five CRA letters your members will get — what each actually asks, the two mistakes that escalate them, live walk-through of real (anonymized) letters. 30–45 min + Q&A.
  • Paying yourself: salary, dividends, and the loan account — the decision framework, re-decided yearly, with the CPP/RRSP trade explained like a human. 30 min + Q&A.
  • Year-end without the scramble — the January checklist, slip season, and why the payment deadline beats the filing deadline. Seasonal favourite, best booked for Q4/Q1. 30 min + Q&A.
  • Custom — industry-specific versions exist for construction, trucking and professional corporations; say who your audience is.

Format and logistics

  • Remote (any platform) across Canada, or in person in the Fraser Valley.
  • Slides provided; a one-page handout your members keep (the quick card or a session-specific sheet).
  • No fees for chambers and non-profit business associations; commercial events by arrangement.
  • Q&A answered plainly — and where a question needs someone’s specific numbers, it gets said rather than guessed at from a stage.

What organizers can expect

A speaker one email away, materials in advance, no surprise selling, and content your members quote afterwards. Ask the Abbotsford Chamber — we are members, and the standard we publish for talks is the same one on the rest of this site.

Fastest first step: email what you’re facing to info@everstonecpa.com — reply within one business day, and we book the consult from there.

General information, not tax advice. The document in your hand and its own dates govern.

Common questions

What does a talk cost?+
Nothing, for chambers and non-profit business associations — the audience is the point. Commercial conferences and private corporate sessions are by arrangement; email the event shape.
Will this turn into a sales pitch to our members?+
No — that is a stated rule of engagement. The firm is identified once by the host; the content stands on its own. Organizers who want the no-pitch promise in writing get it in writing.
Can we record or distribute the session?+
Yes, and you may keep and share the recording with members — accurate information travelling further is the goal. The one ask: distribute the handout with it, since figures on slides age.
How far ahead should we book?+
A few weeks for remote; more for in-person or the Q4/Q1 year-end talk, which books earliest. One email to info@everstonecpa.com with dates starts it.
